Join us for this very special show when the Folk Music Society ventures off the Caltech campus for the first time and presents Eric Uglum and Bud Bierhaus (also known as the Vintage Martin) in Pasadena’s beautiful Arlington Garden, about a mile and a half from the Caltech campus. They will be singing bluegrass gospel songs with the same magnificent harmonies and voices that they exhibited with the group, Copperline, a few years back. Bud won the Texas State Flatpicking Guitar Championship in 2012 and he has performed with Herb Pedersen, Chris Hillman and others. Eric has performed and recorded with Alison Krauss, James King, Stuart Duncan, Ron Block, Rob Ickes and others, as well as raising a couple of sons who are making it in the music world in Nashville. Check out their web page at www.thevintagemartins.com. They will be in California this weekend for the Summergrass Bluegrass Festival, down toward San Diego, and they’ve agreed to come down and do this special show in Pasadena. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for Caltech students and children. Arlington Gardens is at 275 Arlington Drive in Pasadena.
