Low Lily, based in Vermont, blends the drive of bluegrass traditions with the thoughtfulness of contemporary folk. Two founding members, Liz Simmons and Flynn Cohen, now tour as a trio with fiddler Natalie Padilla.
According to Roots Music Report “Low Lily brandishes their formidable individual folk foundations within a collective sound that’s as smart with sense of pop phrasing and flair as it is roots-savvy.” On March 3rd, you will hear them blend the drive of bluegrass traditions with the thoughtfulness of contemporary folk.
Since their first album five years ago and a new one ‘Angels in the Wreckage’ this year, they’ve become known for tight arrangements and good songwriting, including an anthem for peace and justice sung by choirs worldwide. Enjoy their music on Spotify and Youtube.
Low Lily will join Grammy-winning musician Alison Brown and Scottish lever harpist Lucie Hendry at Celtic Connections in Glasgow Scotland on 26th Jan 2024.
