The Revelers, great Cajun/Zydeco band from Lafayette, Louisiana perform at Caltech Saturday, January 28 at 8PM in Ramo Auditorium

The Revelers, from Louisiana, are sure to raise the roof in Ramo Auditorum (the building south of Beckman Auditorium- Big Beckman- on the left side of the grass) on Saturday, January 28. We needed a bigger space, both for the size of the band and the size of the audience. Here is a map to give you a better idea where it is. We’ll have signs to guide you. Six very talented guys, with an accordion, a fiddle, a saxaphone, several good singers, and more! The Revelers play a gumbo of styles with an emphasis on Cajun and zydeco. Click here to hear a few songs by these guys, and get an idea of how talented each member of the band is!
Tickets: $25 / $5 for Caltech students and children

We note with sadness, the death of Jules Dervais on December 23, 2016. Jules started Urban Homestead on Cypress Avenue in Pasadena in 1985, developing a family organic farm in the city, later including a weekly live music scene of its own.  Along with daughters Anais, Jordanne, and son, Justin, they maintained and lived in this wonderful and hopeful setting that demonstrates a beautiful, living environment.  Jules was a kind, hard-working, and dedicated visionary and we are glad to see that his children are planning to continue his work.  See their words on his passing here.

For Prairie Home Companion fans, the road show will be coming to the Pasadena Civic Auditorium with new host, Chris Thile, on January 21 and tickets are on sale now.
