New Artist Series: Joselyn & Don and The Odd Birds in a Shared Concert Sep 20th

Saturday, September 20, 2025 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm
$12.51 – $28.52

Welcome to our New Artist Series with Joselyn & Don and The Odd Birds in a shared concert!

About Joselyn & Don

Live Reviews “Joselyn & Don are a talented, authentic and fresh folk music voice.”- Grand Annex Music Hall

“Joselyn led with her amazing voice, on this night, beginning with her ukulele and later on the congas. Don, as a calming base, held everything down on guitar — acoustic and electric and backup vocals. [Mai] Leisz’s articulate bass and [Jim} McGrath’s smooth percussion amplified the deep sonic ambiance of the room.”- Melina Paris, Angel City Culture Quest

“Not only did the audience love Joselyn & Don and their music, but they were such a joy for staff and techs to work with. In addition, they did a songwriting workshop which was very well attended and the participants gave very enthusiastic reviews. I highly recommend Joselyn & Don for inclusion in any series.”- Christian Wolf, Executive Director, The Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation.

About The Odd Birds

“[The Odd Birds] exhibit powerfully emotive songwriting coupled to masterfully shared lead vocals and harmonies, making every track bristle with colorful clarity. […] Every track on Tremolo Heart is an aural pleasure from the well penned lyrics to the luring vocal command and stalwart instrumentation. […] An outstanding album!” –Brian M. Owens, Metronome Magazine (Boston) (print)

“Charming Country Rock That Could Be From Townes Van Zandt’s Front Porch.” “[The] couple haven’t totally strayed away from their Folk roots; but the welcome addition of occasional electric guitar and buoyant melodies means to me that the finished article is genuinely genre-bending as the couple and their enigmatic producer Bobbo Byrnes, add smidgens of Country, Americana and especially Country Rock to the recipe and the end result is very easy on the ear.”–The Rocking Magpie
