Brocelïande specialize in seasonal fare, honoring the elements of Nature and celebrating the human experience.

They’ll perform songs from their winter albums “Make We Merry” and “Sir Christèmas” and celebrate the release of their first songbook, “Songs of the Season – Volume 1”

Make We Merry showcases the range of music, languages, and instruments they bring to their performances along with lush harmonies and beautiful instrumentals

Sample Sir Christèmas, a festive collection of traditional music for the winter holidays. You’ll find many favorites such as Gaudete, Abbots Bromley Horn Dance, and Carol of the Birds. Or find a new favorite like Entre le Boeuf/Noel Nouvelet.  All accompanied by a variety of instrumentals that evoke the season and the time-period.

“Broceliande — reminiscent of music from times past, hearkening of an era of chivalry and nobility. Broceliande combines the past with the future with the artistry of four of the finest musicians on the West Coast.”  KKUP 91.5FM

“It’s an understatement, but I’ll say it anyway: these people are good. Each is a master of the various instruments they play, and their arrangements are intricate, exciting, exceptional music … their vocal harmonies are exquisite.”   Rambles Cultural Arts Magazine

Brocelïande play original arrangements of Celtic music from the British Isles and Medieval and Renaissance music of the courts and countrysides on Celtic harp, guitar, cello, recorders, octave mandolin, nyckelharpa, flute, whistle, percussion, a 10-string hardanger cello d’amore (the only one in existence) and more!

The three members are well-known multi-instrumentalists and singers whose music includes upbeat dances, lovely ballads, and exciting a capella madrigals with evocative lyrics, including some in Medieval French and Portuguese, speak of love and longing, quests and revels, magic and transformation.
